Company Performance Metrics
Rimward builds intrusion detection software for remote outdoor infrastructure.
We help operators of solar farms and other exposed technical sites turn existing CCTV into operator-ready alerts with video verification. The goal is simple: fewer false positives, faster decisions, and better evidence when an incident happens.
Most serious sites
already have cameras, supervision procedures, and a monitoring stack. What they often lack is usable signal. Too many false alerts create operator fatigue, slow response, and make real events easier to miss. Rimward is built to improve decision quality on remote outdoor sites without requiring heavy hardware replacement.
The company is focused first on utility-scale solar, where recurring intrusion, copper theft, and limited on-site presence create a clear operational pain. It is also relevant for adjacent environments such as energy storage and inland port logistics, where existing camera coverage and remote monitoring workflows already exist.
Rimward takes a software-heavy, infrastructure-first approach designed to fit real deployment constraints: mixed camera quality, outdoor conditions, uneven connectivity, and customer supervision workflows. The product is built to work on top of existing camera networks and help operators verify, escalate, and preserve evidence more effectively.
Rimward is led by François-Guillaume Fernandez, a repeat founder with a strong computer vision background, who previously built and deployed vision systems in the field with Pyronear.
