Squonk creates interdisciplinary performance works that combine original music, visual design, puppetry, and theatrical staging. The ensemble develops outdoor spectacles and site-specific productions that use large-scale mechanical sets, projected imagery, and live progressive rock to turn public spaces into performance environments. Squonk tours
productions such as Brouhaha, Hand to Hand, and Cycle Sonic to festivals, performing arts centers, and civic events. The group also creates commissioned works and a Hometown Opera Series that adapts to individual communities using local stories and media. In addition to touring shows, Squonk offers workshops and residencies through its Squonk in the Neighborhood program, engaging schools, libraries, and community organizations. Recordings, DVDs, and related merchandise from its productions are distributed through its online store.
