Southern STARRS provides therapeutic and recreational horseback riding and animal-assisted activities for individuals with physical or mental disabilities. The organization offers structured class sessions in which students work with trained instructors, volunteers, and program horses to pursue individualized goals. Its services focus on using
equine interaction to support physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development for special needs children and adults. Southern STARRS also administers tuition-based programs with available scholarships so eligible students are not excluded due to inability to pay.
