Somali Scholars Mentorship is a community initiative that connects aspiring Somali students with experienced mentors for academic and scholarship support. The organization runs cohort-based mentorship programs that provide personalized guidance on graduate admissions, scholarship search, and application preparation. Its activities include biweekly
online sessions, guest speaker events with current and former scholarship holders, and one-on-one mentor–mentee pairings aligned with academic fields. Somali Scholars Mentorship also offers post-selection support such as mock interviews and visa guidance when possible. In addition, it curates scholarship information, publishes blogs and resources on application strategies, and highlights alumni success stories to inform and motivate future applicants. The program is designed to address gaps in information, training, and mentorship for Somali youth pursuing global education opportunities.
