Feast Down East operates a nonprofit food hub and related programs that connect local farmers with wholesale buyers, retailers, and consumers. The organization runs an online marketplace and aggregation and distribution services that help farmers sell produce, meat, eggs, and other goods to restaurants, grocers, institutions, and community
agencies. Its Local Motive Mobile Farmers’ Market brings seasonal foods directly to neighborhoods and community sites, including customers using SNAP and Fresh Bucks incentives. Feast Down East also manages a CSA subscription program and the Farmers Fighting Hunger and Food Rx programs, which channel farm products into food relief and produce prescription efforts. Through these services, it supports farmer income while expanding community access to fresh, locally sourced food.
