SNJREIC coordinates access to early intervention services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities and their families. The organization manages the regional system point of entry for referrals into the New Jersey Early Intervention System and supports timely availability of services and supports. SNJREIC provides training
and technical assistance to early intervention providers, families, and community stakeholders. It offers family support through parent education, a central directory of resources, and coordination of family activities. SNJREIC also assists with transition planning when children leave early intervention, facilitates informal dispute resolution, and supports activities such as child find, public awareness, and personnel development.
