SMILfonden is a charitable association that supports children with serious and chronic illnesses and their families across diagnoses. It provides social and creative activities on and outside hospitals, including staffed creative workshops, holiday events and activity books. SMILfonden organizes family and teen camps, network trips and recreational
stays that give participants a break from illness and space to form meaningful relationships. The organization also offers counseling through its phone service and targeted support programs such as groups for mothers of seriously ill children. Through partnerships with individuals, companies and institutions, SMILfonden develops initiatives that strengthen mental health, reduce loneliness and improve everyday life for affected children, siblings and parents.
