SMEunited represents crafts and small and medium-sized enterprises in Europe and acts as a voice for national and sectoral member organisations. The association engages in advocacy and social dialogue with European institutions on policies affecting SMEs, including labour, environment, and digital transitions. SMEunited develops analysis such as
the EU SME Barometer and thematic reports to inform decision makers and members about economic trends and policy impacts. It coordinates positions and joint statements among European social partners and sectoral associations. The organisation also facilitates exchanges of best practices and supports initiatives that help SMEs contribute to strategies such as Farm to Fork and the transition to net zero.
