SKKG is a cultural foundation that manages and curates a large collection of artworks and historical objects spanning high and popular culture from the Stone Age to the present. The foundation maintains and researches this collection, provides access through loans and a digital collection platform, and develops new formats of interpretation and
mediation. SKKG funds Swiss museums, collections and related heritage institutions to strengthen participation in cultural heritage through structured grant programs. It supports multi-stage participation processes that involve communities in the preservation, presentation and discussion of their histories and identities. The foundation also develops and coordinates art and construction projects that connect its cultural objectives with its real estate portfolio to broaden cultural access. Through these activities, SKKG aligns collection management, funding, and real estate use to advance its cultural mission.
