Skills Insight is Australia’s Jobs and Skills Council for agribusiness, fibre, furnishing, food, animal and environment care industries. It provides employers, workers and training providers with structured ways to contribute to national vocational education and training decisions. The organisation connects industry knowledge with labour market and
training data to forecast workforce needs and identify skill gaps. Skills Insight develops national training products and standards, advises on how training should be delivered, and contributes to government workforce and skills policy. It also undertakes projects such as workforce plans, apprenticeship pathway design and sector-specific attraction and retention tools, and participates in national initiatives including the National AI Skills Report. Through these activities, it supports alignment between training provision and the current and future needs of the industries it serves.
