About the Company
SiteWhere is developed by SiteWhere LLC, a company based in Atlanta, GA. The core SiteWhere team includes developers with a variety of backgrounds, including telecommunications, enterprise service bus, heavy transaction processing, and location-based services.
SiteWhere grew from a targeted telecommunications processing platform, evolved to
integrate real-time location data, and finally transitioned into a more generalized IoT/M2M offering. The system was open sourced in June 2013 and now has a user base that spans the globe. The open source portion of the system represents 55+ person/years of effort and about 250,000 lines of Java code.
