Signa Edu prepares deaf people for the job market through a platform of online courses built in Pounds and with subtitles.
Signa was born in January of 2016 to solve the lack of opportunity of the 9,7 million deaf Brazilians to train and to take courses with quality, from their culture and language, the Brazilian Language of Signs (Pounds).
The
company has a strong commitment to education and preparation for the job market. With an adapted online platform and courses taught both in pounds and legends, SIGNA currently trains and prepares deaf people for the job market, giving them the opportunity to learn the content they are interested in. The courses are produced by the deaf community itself, people with fluency in Pounds, who have a knowledge and have the desire to share with other deaf people. It is the community teaching the community itself.
