Shower Up is a UK personal comfort SME with a core project team of Dean Mokhtar (CEO and entrepreneur) and a Hrishikesh Mohan (Mechanical Design Engineer).
Low water pressure affects 40% of UK households, many of which are B&Bs or WaterSure participants in council-owned houses; these groups often have older buildings, which are more prone to
inferior water pressure. People in such buildings take longer to have showers, which wastes time and money and has a negative impact on their wellbeing.
Shower Up is developing a non-invasive and subtle device that is easy to install and use and instantly provides an adjustable shower pressure of up to 15 litres per minute at all times, even with static water sources like buckets. This waterproof device, which combines pumps with a series of hardware and software fail-safes, runs on powerful rechargeable battery technology that removes the need to install any electrical wiring in the bathroom.
Shower Up will benefit households across the UK, especially those at low socioeconomic levels, through more efficient showers, reduced water/heating bills, and improved physical and mental health.
