Company Performance Metrics
- Shahir Chowdhury: Founder & CEO
Shikho is one of Bangladesh’s largest learning platforms, building AI-native human capital infrastructure for emerging markets.
The company serves millions of learners across Bangladesh through a unified ecosystem of live classes, recorded lessons, assessments, analytics, AI-powered learning tools, QR-linked physical textbooks, and connected
learning devices.
Shikho was founded around a simple belief: countries like Bangladesh do not lack ambition or talent — they lack scalable access to high-quality learning and human capital infrastructure.
Bangladesh has one of the world’s youngest populations, with more than 85 million people under the age of 25. Yet educational quality remains heavily concentrated in major urban centers, while millions of students outside metros face limited access to strong teachers, learning resources, and personalized support.
Shikho uses technology, data, and AI to help close that gap.
Today, the platform serves over 4 million registered learners across all 64 districts of Bangladesh, with the majority of users coming from outside major cities. The company’s learning system combines structured curriculum graphs, assessments, behavioral learning telemetry, analytics, and embedded AI to create increasingly personalized learning experiences at scale.
The company initially scaled through academic learning products for students from Class 6 through university admissions. Increasingly, however, Shikho views education as the first layer of a much larger human capital opportunity spanning:
* teacher enablement * workforce readiness * skills development * employability * education financing * AI-powered productivity infrastructure
Shikho is also building AI-powered systems for teachers, schools, and educational institutions, including lesson planning, assessments, analytics, classroom workflows, and multimedia instruction tools.
The company’s long-term vision is to help emerging-market populations continuously learn, adapt, and participate in the economy of the future.
Shikho has been recognized by Forbes Asia’s 100 to Watch and works with partners including Grameenphone, bKash, Walton, Meta, major commercial banks, and public-sector stakeholders across Bangladesh’s evolving digital education ecosystem.
