Shaker Museum preserves, studies, and presents the material culture and archives of the Shakers. The organization maintains a large collection of Shaker objects, documents, and books and provides public access through online collections, exhibitions, and pop-up displays. It stewards the historic North Family site at Mount Lebanon and operates an
administrative campus and research library that are accessible to researchers by appointment. Shaker Museum develops educational content on Shaker history and beliefs, hosts member tours and public events, and collaborates with contemporary artists and institutions on exhibitions. It is also constructing a new museum facility to expand space for permanent and rotating exhibitions, programs, and community use.
