Sensory Trust develops inclusive, sensory-focused ways for people of all ages and abilities to engage with nature and the outdoors. The charity runs nature-based projects such as dementia activity groups, children and family programmes, and climate and biodiversity initiatives. It offers consultancy on accessible and sensory design, including
sensory gardens and trails, relaxed sessions, inclusive information and graphics, and access audits and reviews. Sensory Trust also delivers training to build skills in accessibility, sensory engagement and outdoor learning for health, care, education and visitor organisations. Through its resource centre and publications, it produces activities, guidance and tools that support equal access to outdoor spaces and sensory nature experiences. The organisation combines community projects, service delivery and design support to integrate nature connection into everyday life.
