SciDel Technologies Ltd. develops and markets advanced video imaging systems capable of electronically inserting advertising signage into live television broadcasts of sports and other events. The advertising signage inserted by SciDel’s proprietary technology appears to the television audience as if it is actually present at the event although it
is not visible to the in-arena audience. These images can range from simple corporate names and logos to sophisticated multi-media 3-D productions in the very near future. Although SciDel’s patented technology is presently being utilized solely for sports television advertising, the potential applications for the Virtual Graphic Enhancement technology are extensive. These opportunities include the recent exclusive partnership agreement with Yahoo! to provide virtual advertisements for Yahoo!’s streaming videos over the Internet.
