ScholarCHIPS provides college scholarships and book awards to students with incarcerated parents who are pursuing higher education. The organization offers mentoring relationships, college life skills and professional development workshops, and a structured peer support network. ScholarCHIPS also delivers mental health and wellness supports,
including care packages and other resources during key academic periods. Its programs are designed to reduce financial barriers to college and strengthen scholars’ academic, social, and emotional resilience. ScholarCHIPS further engages in advocacy that amplifies scholars’ stories and addresses stigma associated with parental incarceration.
