About the Company
SVI is a leading independent (I.E., not winery controlled) producer of premium varietal wine grapes. The Company currently operates approximately 4,950 acres of wine grape vineyards. Of this total, approximately 3,270 acres are operated for the Company's own account, including the 370-acre Riverview Vineyard which was purchased by the Company
on June 26, 1997, and 1,680 acres are operated under management contracts for others. All of the properties currently operated by the Company are located in Monterey and San Benito Counties in California, both of which are generally recognized as excellent regions for growing high quality wine grape varieties.
