Salvus is a Brazilian healthtech company that builds the digital and hardware infrastructure for safe, monitored care beyond the hospital. Founded in 2016 in Recife, Pernambuco, the company develops proprietary connected devices, real-time software and clinical AI to generate structured, auditable clinical data across the entire care continuum,
from the hospital bed through discharge, home care and chronic disease management. Salvus operates three product lines:
ATAS O2: A connected medical device for intelligent oxygen therapy monitoring. ATAS O2 tracks gas flow, consumption and therapy compliance in real time per patient, bed and unit, enabling hospitals to reduce oxygen waste by up to 30%, prevent adverse events and maintain full traceability of medical gas usage. Commercial stage with active hospital deployments.
ATAS Vital: A wearable device for continuous vital signs monitoring designed for general wards and home care. It fills the gap between periodic manual checks and ICU-grade monitoring, enabling early detection of clinical deterioration. ATAS Vital is the core technology behind Respira Brasil, a proposed national respiratory telemonitoring program targeting 100,000 patients with projected savings of R$3.1B for the public health system.
HAI Platform: A care coordination and clinical intelligence platform for extra-hospital care. HAI orchestrates clinical care journeys (home care, post-discharge, chronic disease management), transforming fragmented manual processes into structured, auditable pathways with execution indicators, quality scores and a verifiable trail from planned care to patient outcomes. HAI is positioned as the executable care layer for the OpenCare interoperability ecosystem (InovaHC/Hospital das Clinicas).
The company has raised R$11.66M in total funding, including equity investment from Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein (two rounds), ACE Ventures, Noronha Kaiser Participacoes, Mor Capital and PPA Capital, and non-dilutive grants from FINEP, BNDES, EMBRAPII, FACEPE, ABDI and SOFTEX. Strategic partnerships include Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, UFPB, EBSERH, Eretz.bio and Philips.
Salvus is headquartered at Porto Digital, one of Latin America's largest urban technology parks, with a team of 20 across product development, commercial operations and corporate functions.
