ReliefWeb is a specialized digital service of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). It provides disaster and crisis updates and analysis to humanitarians in order to help them make informed decisions and plan effective assistance.
The online platform collects updates and analysis from more than 4,000
global information sources. Its editors identify and deliver the content most relevant to its global audience, which includes country and disaster reports, maps, info-graphics, job announcements, and learning opportunities and events of interest to humanitarians. It also develops new information products and services that enable humanitarian partners to analyze context and situations and make better decisions.
It focuses on topics such as climate change and environment, floods, health, humanitarian financing, recovery and reconstruction, agriculture, disaster management, safety and security, peacekeeping and peacebuilding, gender,s torms, mine action, draughts, earthquakes, and more.
