Company Performance Metrics
Reading Power provides individualized one-to-one literacy tutoring programs for young children in partnership with schools needing supplemental literacy support. The organization focuses on preschool through second grade, delivering in-person instruction during the school day using structured, research-based lesson plans. Its preschool program
emphasizes oral language development, listening comprehension, vocabulary, and a familiarity with books. Kindergarten sessions build early literacy foundations such as story listening, letter and sound knowledge, phonemic awareness, and phonics skills. First and second grade tutoring combines leveled reading, writing, fluency practice, comprehension work, and direct word study, including phonics and sight word development. Students typically receive tutoring multiple times per week, and progress is monitored with universal and daily assessments to guide instruction.
