Read and Feed operates after-school literacy programs that combine reading support with meal provision for underserved elementary school children. The organization partners with local schools and community sites to identify children who are below reading level and brings tutoring sessions directly to their neighborhoods, including through mobile
classroom RVs. Each session includes a nourishing meal and approximately 75 minutes of high-impact tutoring focused on literacy skills. Children select books to keep at the end of sessions, supporting the creation of home libraries and encouraging year-round reading. Read and Feed also coordinates volunteers who tutor, drive mobile classrooms, deliver food and materials, and sort and distribute books. The organization accepts community support through volunteering, donations of books and supplies, and financial contributions to sustain its literacy and meal programs.
