Pterodactyl Panel provides an open-source, self-hosted platform for managing game servers across single or multiple nodes. The Laravel-based web panel works with the Wings daemon to run game processes in Docker containers for isolation and resource control. Administrators create servers for titles such as Minecraft and Rust, assign CPU and memory
limits, and deploy standardized installs through community eggs. The interface includes a file manager, SFTP access, database provisioning, backups, and task scheduling. Role-based permissions and two-factor authentication help govern access for teams and end users. A REST API enables integration with billing systems and external automation. Node and allocation management support scaling across machines, while logs and metrics assist with monitoring. Community resources offer templates and guidance for extending game support.
