Company Performance Metrics
Process Industry Practices (PIP) operates as a consortium within The University of Texas, focusing on the harmonization of internal standards and practices for the process industry. It aims to streamline engineering processes by providing standardized design practices, which cover a range of disciplines including civil, structural, architectural,
coatings, refractory, piping, and electrical. PIP's practices are developed and maintained by member volunteers from various sectors within the process industry, including owners, engineering firms, and construction companies. These practices are revised on a 5-year cycle to ensure they remain relevant and useful for front-end engineering design and construction projects. By adopting PIP standards, companies can achieve more efficient project execution and cost savings.
