The company is focused on making interactions with these new type of apps much simpler, by offering a web solution, meaning users don't need to install anything to get started. Since Portis uses end-to-end encryption, its users maintain control over
their crypto assets while enjoying a familiar cloud-like experience.
To interact with applications on the blockchain, new users must go through so many steps, from installing a special browser and understanding cryptographic concepts, to figuring out transaction fees and how to pay them in the first place. Services like Portis remove all that friction, by allowing users to simply use the app by registering with an email address.
Once the onboarding process is simplified, mass adoption will quickly follow, to an extent where users will not even realize they are using a blockchain system.
