PHYCO2 develops an algae photo-bioreactors and produces algae for bio-stimulant, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, nutrition industries.
The APB design is novel in that it absorbs the CO2 from industrial exhaust such as power plants and ethanol production, and operates continuously through the use of LED's. It tests units with the exhaust from
natural gas-fired boilers to quantify the system performance.
In 2007, Greg Hagopian and Robert Morgan founded the company in Newburyport, Massachusetts.
