Optical Illusion Museum to be located in Vancouver, B.C., is a three dimensional (3D) art gallery museum that is inspired by similar 3D art gallery museums in Asia. The artistic style utilized is called trompe l’oeil which is a French term for a visual illusion in art, especially as used to trick the eye into perceiving a painting or design as a 3D
object. The artwork will be created by local artists and focus on local culture and cityscape, with instructions to help visitors view and photograph the optical illusions as intended. The business is established to offer a place of entertainment for the growing Greater Vancouver area that is also a tourist city. The slogan “be a part of the art” will entice visitors to the museum to view and photograph themselves with the creative and fun art pieces. The art themes could include the following: Adventure/Sports, Animals, Animation, Exotic and Movies. This futuristic art gallery will also use augmented reality (AR) to further enhance the immersive art experience by animating the art.
Our strategy is to service our patrons with a place to view the art but also to sell camera related products including selfie sticks, tripods, cameras, phone cases, etc. While most art gallery museums do not allow you to interact with the exhibits (let alone take a photo of it), here at Optical Illusion Museum we not only allow you to do so but encourage it.
