Company Performance Metrics
- Suhan Park: Co-Founder
Oprones is a robotics and AI company building autonomous inspection systems for hazardous, hard-to-access infrastructure. The company combines autonomous drones with an AI-driven control tower to turn inspection data into fast, structured, and decision-ready insights. Oprones is purpose-built for confined, GPS-denied, and low-light environments
such as large-diameter storm sewers, where traditional inspections rely on crawler systems, manual crews, and time-intensive review.
The platform delivers an end-to-end workflow from mission execution to analysis and reporting. Autonomous drones capture inspection-grade data, which is processed by computer vision and 3D reconstruction models to detect defects, provide spatial context, and reduce manual review time. An AI-assisted review interface supports consistent interpretation and standardized outputs, enabling operators to move more quickly from inspection to decision. Over time, Oprones is designed to evolve toward drone-in-a-box deployments for scheduled and event-triggered inspections.
Oprones initially serves infrastructure service contractors who operate under municipal and utility contracts, providing faster sales cycles and scalable distribution into public-sector infrastructure. The company plans to expand into adjacent markets such as tunnels, large industrial facilities, and other confined infrastructure assets.
Founded in Michigan, Oprones is currently pre-revenue and in active research and development, with demo-ready prototypes in progress and pilot deployments planned. The founding team brings experience in robotics, embedded systems, machine learning, and early-stage product development, with backgrounds spanning automotive research, university robotics labs, and startup engineering.
