Organizations in developing countries face complex intelligence problems. Given the high costs of analytics solutions, most have traditionally relied on intuition to solve these problems. When they do invest in sophisticated analysis, it usually relies entirely on internal or external data, with very few solutions focused on intelligence derived
from the crossing of both; necessary to resolve many business problems. This translates into sub-optimal decisions that cost millions, despite the data for better decisions being available.
OPI provides actionable intelligence derived from crossing large volumes and varieties of operational & external data:
• Data-Warehouse -+10,000 variables – demographics, economic activity, business, real estate, urban infrastructure, news/events, social media – generated with data from hundreds of sources, (ie. government, web scraping, social media, private suppliers).
• Intelligence – Proprietary variables and large variety of mathematical/statistical models applied to particular business problems.
• Visualization/Exploration tool – Web-apps to explore intelligence outputs dynamically and with intuitive visualizations.
Concrete solutions in current verticals:
• Public sector – Integration of hundreds of demographic, social and economic datasets for generating indicators of social needs, which serve as demand proxies for public spending. Web-app with cartographic and chart visualizations of relevant variables.
• Retail – Predictive model for sales in new openings, generated from historical, current and projected operational and external variables. From a web-app, users run the model to find regions with optimal conditions and predict sales for potential openings.
The solution is sold through a SaaS model, with monthly/annual subscriptions for access to a web application; with the option of an implementation at the start.
