ONTOLOGIK is developing a natural language understanding engine that can read text and automatically construct/feed a Knowledge Graph and can subsequently engage in dialogues answering questions against this knowledge repository. ONTOLOGIK is based on a new logic - what Nino Cocchiarella calls a 'logic as a language' (LaaL), in

contrast with the dominant 'logic as a calculus' which is a symbol manipulation system devoid of any content. LaaL is a logic embedded with an innate (thus universal) and strongly-typed ontological structure that underlies all natural languages. In a logic embedded with ontological content several problems that faced traditional logical semantics are easily resolved (for a general overview of this paradigm please take a look at some RESEARCH papers).
