oneDrum is a free, lightweight desktop application that can turn any application into a rich, collaborative environment.
The first release of oneDrum is the only platform on the market that takes the compromise out of collaborating in Microsoft Office.
It enables:
*Simultaneous, multi-author document creation and editing in PowerPoint, Excel
and Word
* Effective communication, coordination and control of change
* Secure, synchronised file sharing and version management.
oneDrum is currently in private beta and is being developed by a team of experienced software engineers based in Stirling, Scotland.
Productive Collaboration:
oneDrum enables multiple users to author and edit the same document simultaneously. Every userâ's edits are displayed on each user’s screen in real-time.
oneDrum enables users to make Excel, Word or PowerPoint files saved on their own PC available to friends, family or colleagues anywhere in the world. All that's needed is an Internet connection the person you share with does not have to have oneDrum installed.
oneDrum stores documents on the user's PC and online, giving users 24/7 access to the latest version of their documents, whether they're on or offline, wherever they happen to be. Any changes made by a user who is not online will be synchronised with other users (and conflicts resolved) as soon as the user connects to the Internet.

oneDrum takes the compromise out of collaboration by enabling teams to work together to create professional documents in the applications they're used to working in.
oneDrum features contextual communication tools that enable users to coordinate and communicate change effectively — treating documents as projects to which tasks and questions can be assigned.
oneDrum works with any version of Microsoft Office (post 2000), enabling users to collaborate without disrupting their usual working practices and without the need to learn how to use new software.
