Ogaan was founded in 2017 with the aim of creating a space to connect employers and prospective employees globally in the most efficient way possible. Ogaan is a Somali word which means “to know”. It is a phrase that is at the core of our mission which is to bring knowledge of the existing opportunities to those that may not have it. The types of
vacancies presented are inclusive of both the formal and informal sector. In both, the prospective employer and employee are able to be matched on the app according to the needs of the employer and the qualifications of the prospective employee. By signing up and providing details about experience and interest, the app will provide you with job vacancies that you already qualify for. The type of jobs will range from internships and part-time jobs to full-time employment possibilities. There is also an informal jobs section of the platforms where people are able to post and apply for temporary work.
