SF-based Osterhout Design Group (ODG) is focused on revolutionizing wearable technologies and developing innovative and sophisticated situational awareness, security and first-responder solutions.
ODG’s AR smart glasses are powerful, head-worn devices that offer users a complete computing solution. Fully-integrated (everything - such as processor, SDK, and battery - is all on-board) and untethered (they do not need to be connected to any other device), they are like a powerful laptop, but for your head.
As a productivity tool, ODG’s AR Smart Glasses help customers increase their productivity, financial capability, accuracy and security in their day-to-day usage. Targeted to government and industrial customers, they have many use-case applications in the medical, oil and gas, training/education and industrial fields. The glasses were developed and designed for demanding environments while being light and comfortable enough for everyday use.
The R-6 will begin shipping in December 2014; the R-7s in Q2 2015.
