Distribution companies took the hardest hit during COVID because they were not prepared with the right technical infrastructure to handle such a huge influx of urgent and complex orders. Thousands of orders are currently being processed through the disconnected systems
of order management, warehousing, and shipping departments every single day. On average, distribution companies have a lead time of around 48 to 72 hours and it takes up to 7 days to create performance reports from the disconnected departments of order management, warehousing, shipping, and planning.
Co-founders Chris Li and Fahim Salam have built 3 companies together. They have deep domain expertise in supply chain tech, having built a digital logistics company in South Asia prior to starting Nuport.
