NJN Foundation is a nonprofit fundraising organization that serves as the support arm for New Jersey public broadcasting. It secures private donations, corporate underwriting, and capital campaign funding to sustain public affairs programming, local news production, and educational initiatives. The foundation manages contributed funds to supplement
public appropriations and to back specific programs such as news and public affairs shows. It also finances equipment and technology projects that improve broadcast operations, including digital conversion and related upgrades. After state broadcast operations were transitioned to a new public media operator, NJN Foundation continues its role by aligning its funding activities with the successor public media entity’s public affairs mission.
