Motion FX S.A. provides advanced products, services, and consulting to cinematographers, producers, broadcasters, and post production facilities. The company was started primarily targeting the broadcasting, production, and post-production industry.
In 2001, Motion FX S.A. along with a German company introduced the first direct to disk recording
system designed for digital cinematography at International Broadcasting Convention in Amsterdam. In 2003, the company added new services as well as new product offerings to its product line. It participated in the production of the 2004 Special Olympics BBC opening themes.
In 2005, the 4K film recording and the 2K color grading investment was the first new service that Motion FX S.A. added. By that time the company used the Silicon Color Final Touch 2K, that later became the Apple Color. In the same time it has developed its multi-camera iso.ingest direct to disk studio solution that sold to clients abroad.
In 2007, Motion FX S.A. started to offer for clients around the world its innovative service for film recording. The idea was to transfer color management know-how-to partners abroad in order them to be able to do high-end 2k color grading with unsurpassed WYSIWYG for film-out with the new breed of tools from Apple. In 2008, Motion FX S.A. got the European Patent for its studio automation system, iso.ingest. The same time it started to develop a relay lens system for 2/3 cameras that allowed connecting low cost DoF to high-end 2/3 camcorders.
In 2010 Motion FX S.A. have set up a network of 8 partners around the world, in Israel, Egypt, Belgium, Netherlands, and New York. It was established in 2000 by Evangelos Achillopoulos, Gaziano Roberto, Stijn Vanorbeek, and Artemios Achillopoulos.
