Moscow Information Technologies Open Joint-Stock Company (MIT) was established on February 24, 2004 by the resolution of the Moscow Government No. 97-PP for the purpose of information support of major city projects. The founders of the MIT are the Government of Moscow represented by the Property Department and the Scientific Research Institute of
Social Systems at Moscow State University named after MVLomonosov. In the activities of the Ministry of Information and Communication, a key role is played by close interaction with the scientific and academic circles of the Moscow State University. M.Lomonosov and the Russian Academy of Sciences. Scientists, researchers and experts from other higher educational institutions, research institutes and sociological services are widely involved in cooperation. The work of the MIT also relies on the many years of experience and potential of its co-founder - the Research Institute for Social Systems - in the field of consulting and information and analytical support for the activities of federal and Moscow authorities and administrations.
