The majority of the messages we exchange were once from an individual to an individual, rather than from an individual to a network. The one-to-many
broadcast that is the norm today has made communication wider-reaching and more convenient, but it has also made our interactions less personal and meaningful.
At Mixette, we believe the convenience of modern technology and the meaningful interactions of the past can co-exist. We have taken one of the most fun and iconic mediums of expression from the past – the mixtape – and transformed it into something fresh and new for the digital age.
Through our sleekly-designed Web interface and iOS app, we have recaptured the nostalgia and the hip retro imagery of the mixtape cassette and added the convenience and instantaneous delivery that modern life demands. Multi-media elements, such as a hand-written letter and an interactive photo deck create an even more deeply meaningful and immersive user experience for the recipient of your hand-crafted gift.
