METI's Gulo Gulo core technology stems from the recent advances in using the abundance of different information resources all around the vehicles on the road and digesting this plethora of information to arrive at the vehicle's current position. These resources are of different natures and can be perceived in a different light depending on the methods used to understand and utilize them. The Gulo Gulo engine is your way to weave the suitable and available sources of information into a homogenous stream of valuable data to build your understanding of what is around the vehicle and where the vehicle lies with respect to its surroundings, hence the world. Using data of numerous types collected through different means of information gathering, i.e., 3D and 2D environment representations and communication signals, the Gulo Gulo engine learns to translate this input to provide spatial awareness for the automated driving systems in an autonomous vehicle.
