The Methodist Theological School (MTS) in Delaware, Ohio, one of nation’s seminaries affiliated with the United Methodist Church, aims to prepare students from various religious backgrounds for lives of leadership in the church and global community.
Academics at the school are offered at the graduate level. Five degrees are available, with
offerings in:
* Divinity
* Counseling Ministries
* Theological Studies
* Practical Theology
* Ministry
In addition to its degree programs, the school also offers unique courses that integrate faith into liberal arts disciplines like women’s studies, film and sociology. Some of these courses include Intermediate Biblical Hebrew, Women in the New Testament and Theology in Film.
To help you develop socially and spiritually, the school offers a number of enriching college life opportunities. From worships services held twice a week at the Alford Centrum to the beautiful Chiles Memorial Garden, you’ll have the resources for both spiritual development and leisure.
Students also have the ability to participate in multicultural field trips, attend lectures given by the World Religions speakers and join the Beatitudes Society to advocate social responsibility and conscientiousness.
The MTS offers a variety of financial aid to students who demonstrate need. Some sources include full-tuition scholarships, federal work-study programs and other institutional scholarships like the Werner Housing grant and Harding scholarship.
