The company’s 3D collagen-based Preclinical Antimetastasis Screening System (PASS) recapitulates the tumor environment to measure live
tumor cell migration. This is the only cell migration method that has been clinically validated for in vitro screening of drugs for antimetastatic effects. Its patent-pending microscopy system automatically tracks thousands of cells as individuals as they migrate freely in 3D collagen.
MetaVì Labs’ migration analysis imaging and computer system automatically measures the distance travelled, speed, rest periods, pseudopodia activity, and morphology changes for thousands of individual cells. To provide proof of mechanism, its standard migration assay measures the precise dose-dependent effect of test substances on tumor cell migration.
In addition to tumor cell lines, the company also tests migration of leukocytes, stem and progenitor cells, fibroblasts, or cells provided by its clients.
