MCBOE operates the Monroe County public school district and provides educational programs for students in grades PreK through 12. The district oversees multiple schools, career and technical education, and a range of instructional and enrichment activities such as summer learning camps and academic competitions. MCBOE administers child nutrition
services that offer daily meals aligned with state and federal guidelines, including school-year and summer feeding programs. It manages federal and state-funded programs under the Every Student Succeeds Act, including Title II, Title III, Title IV, Title V, and Title VI initiatives. These programs support teacher and leader development, English learners, rural education, student support and academic enrichment, and services for American Indian and Alaska Native students. MCBOE also provides parent portals, online enrollment, and other resources to support students and families.
