Founded in 2003 by Elaine Maxwell and Charles Gillott in order to bring together the experience they had each gained over many years in legal practice, Maxwell Gillott specializes in all aspects of education, health and community care law along with public law.
In September 2009 Maxwell Gillott merged with Simpson Millar LLP Solicitors to build a
stronger presence in the healthcare and education sectors for both companies.

We have strong links with many of the charities that are active in our areas of interest and this helps us maintain up to date knowledge of developments relevant to our work.
We are fully franchised by the Legal Services Commission in our specialist areas. This means that we can apply for public funding – legal aid – for our clients, because our services and the way we work meet the high standards required by the Commission.
