Loksutr Foundation is a not-for-profit social enterprise that focuses on documenting, researching, and preserving indigenous intangible cultural heritage and traditional knowledge systems. The organization collaborates with knowledge keepers and artisans from tribal communities to record oral narratives, including mythologies, cosmologies,
folktales, chants, and memories. It translates these narratives into contemporary visual formats such as illustrated manuscripts, books, public art installations, and hand-painted textiles. Loksutr Foundation also develops design-led educational resources, workshops, and visual sketch notes that make dense academic or linguistic material more accessible to students, institutions, and wider audiences. Its work combines listening, transcription, visualization, storyboarding, painting, and careful production to create knowledge-dense cultural artefacts. Through these activities, the foundation supports ongoing community inventorying and capacity building around indigenous heritage.
