The Junction Centre Group plays a leading role in the shopping center development and property management industries in Myanmar. It aims to promote the success of the tenant stores under its management to enhance long term co-operation with its tenants. In 1999, Junction Centre Group opened Junction 8, its first Junction Centre in Myanmar. Since
its opening, Junction 8 has gained reputation among shoppers. In subsequent years, more Junction Centres were opened: Junction Zawana in 2007, Junction Nay Pyi Taw in 2009 and Junction Maw Tin in 2010. When opened in 1999, Junction 8 was the first shopping center in Myanmar that featured a supermarket, fashion shops, restaurants and beauty salons, all in one place. Junction Zawana, which is known to be their second shopping center, had instantly become popular as a neighborhood shopping centre in Thuwana and Thingangyun townships. Junction Nay Pyi Taw, the first shopping center to feature a Cineplex, not only performs superior to its predecessor but also became the significant landmark in Nay Pyi Taw. Junction Maw Tin, the latest Junction Centre, is the first shopping center to feature open concept boutiques, internationally-acclaimed brand stores and a two theatre Cineplex. After 14 years of experience as a mall empire, the Junction Centre Group launched Junction Square, the ultimate shopping and entertainment destination in Myanmar, in 2012.
