Founded in April 2004, The Intelligent Debt Management Group “IDM” has established itself as South Africa’s leading and largest debt management company. IDM offers comprehensive advice and a host of highly effective solutions to South African consumers who are facing financial difficulties and struggling with debt.
IDM operates from a
centralised office in Cape Town, South Africa, from which more than 350 employees service clients nationally. IDM aims to help clients from all demographic and economic segments, with one division focussed on the upper middle income bracket and another focusing on clients with lower income. To date, IDM has assisted more than 50,000 South Africans providing each with excellent customer service and solutions tailored to meet their individual needs. IDM prides itself on being a key player in shaping the development of the industry and this is helped by both its extensive relationships with credit providers, insurers and a market share in excess of 15%.
Under the IDM umbrella lies four companies; BondBusters, InsuranceBusters, DebtBusters and Consumer Debt Help.
DebtBusters, provides IDM's debt management services. Since launching DebtBusters in January 2007, DebtBusters has assisted over 50,000 consumers in their struggle against debt by providing a comprehensive solution to their plight. Insurance Busters offers consumers a broad range of insurance products and ensure that clients have the most cost effective insurance cover in place. BondBusters was South Africa's first debt consolidation/re-mortgaging specialist.
In February 2013, IDM launched a new division, Consumer Debt Help (CDH) to help the growing number of South African consumers that could not afford existing debt counselling services. It is these consumers, who make up the bulk of South Africans that bear the full brunt of rising costs of living and are left to fend for themselves.
