About the Company
Founded in 1969 by António Quadros, who invited recognized professionals in the area of design such as, Lima de Freitas, Manuel Lapa and Manuel Costa Martins. IADE was the first higher education institute in Portugal to focus on design and today is the largest school in this area in the country. The IADE Research Unit, UNIDCOM, has international
recognition, with numerous researchers contributing an array of publications under many areas of expertise.
Instituto de Arte, Design e Empresa - Universitário (IADE-U) is accredited by the Ministério da Educação e Ciência (Ministry of Education and Science).
