HouseTab is a mobile payment and social gifting application initially targeting the hospitality industry. Users can check-in to a venue, start a tab and pay their check from their phone. More important, realizing social is a large and driving force to mobile phone engagement, HouseTab is integrating its own social network, most prominent of which
is gifting food and drinks to any friend, at any venue and at anytime.
For the merchant, HouseTab will offer a handful of immediate benefits including shorter check out time, which in turn increases staff productivity and higher turnover/sales; incremental sales through loyalty programs and better customer acquisition channels; and enhanced analytics on the customer base and offer real-time communications from management of the venue to any particular HouseTab user.
