At Harper College you can get a career-oriented degree, begin your journey to a four-year school, improve your English skills or even get a bachelor’s degree.
Harper College offers associate’s degrees leading to four-year transfers, as well as associate’s degrees for in-demand medical, business and legal careers.
Harper also provides numerous
paths to whichever degree one chooses. For the busy adult learner there is the weekend college option and the accelerated or fast-track option.
For those who wish to get a bachelor’s degree, Harper has a program whereby a student may complete the first two years at Harper and the following two in an online course at such places as DePaul University or University of Wisconsin.
For those who want training for an in-demand career, Harper offers certificate programs in such fields as Phlebotomy, Practical Nursing, Web Design, Refrigeration Service and Vet Assistance in less than a year.
Other courses of study include ESL, GED prep and short-term professional development classes.
Harper’s student life features a student-run radio station and newspaper, numerous clubs and organizations and a state-of-the-art recreation and fitness center.
Admissions requirements vary depending on the program to which one is applying.
Tuition at Harper is considerably lower for those who reside in the county or district and for senior citizens. Financial aid is available for eligible students enrolled in certain programs.
